Vacationers looking to stay in the Bass Lake area have all kinds of lodging to choose from. There are cabins and camping spots right off the lake, charming inns and B&Bs in Oakhurst and outside of Yosemite, two lodges and numerous campsites within Yosemite Park itself, as well as some no-nonsense, pet-friendly hotels in Oakhurst and the surrounding area.
Bass Lake
If you want to stay on Bass Lake and you don’t want to camp, you have a few options for accommodations. You can rent a cabin or room from one of the three resorts located right by the lake, or you can get a vacation rental. Many of these options come with a great view of the lake or the surrounding pine forest.
Yosemite Bass Lake Suites
Located in Bass Lake, yet just minutes to Yosemite, your suite offers you comfort and convenience. Once you open the door, you will realize there is no place like it in Bass Lake. Your lake view suite is a mini-lodge with all the modern amenities.
An exclusive property, the suites are designed for you with travel in mind (3 person maximum). Park the car and walk to everything Bass Lake has to offer…4 restaurants, boat rentals/marina, entertainment, boutiques, and our local market.
Start the day on the Lake fishing, jet skiing, wake surfing or sightseeing for bald eagles. Then hit the local scene of restaurants, bars and shops. Don’t forget to visit Yosemite National Park (just 16 miles to the entrance). The Lakefront Marina Grill (seasonal) has live music 7 nights a week for you to dance the night away. Walk to everything, as you are 0 miles away from it all. This is the beginning to a memorable, relaxing, easy break.

The Pines Resort
Pines guests can stay in a room attached to the main lodge, or in the separate cabins, which include a full kitchen. There is a grocery store conveniently located on site, and guests can dine at the Pines restaurant Ducey’s or the bar and grill, which has as short menu, but is less pricey.
Note: Some, but not all of the chalets are pet-friendly, so make sure you let them know if you are bringing a pet when you make your reservation.

Chateau du Sureau
For almost every cabin and lodge in the Bass Lake/Yosemite area we could add the disclaimer “do not come expecting four star hotel accommodations.” The luxurious, European-style rooms at the Chateau du Sureau are the one exception to that disclaimer, but you do have to pay handsomely for the experience.

Yosemite
If you want to skip the drive into the park each day and you don’t want to camp, you have two options: the Ahwahnee Hotel and the Yosemite Lodge at the Falls. If you don’t mind driving in to the park each morning there are a number of lodges, cabins and B&Bs in the surrounding area.
Yosemite Valley Lodge
The Yosemite Valley Lodge is one of just two hotels inside of Yosemite, the other being the more expensive Majestic Yosemite Hotel. The Yosemite Valley Lodge itself is not cheap, and remember that you are paying for the luxury of avoiding the hour+ drive into the park each day. Do not expect 4-star accommodations. The lodge is rustic, the walls are thin enough to allow you to hear your next door and upstairs neighbors, and your food options are not amazing. But you will wake up each morning in newly renovated rooms within the heart of Yosemite.
Prices: $180 – $280
The Majestic Yosemite Hotel
Formerly called the Ahwahnee, this historic hotel (built in 1927) is the closest thing you will get to luxury within the park, and it is priced accordingly. It is an impressive building with beautiful views. As with the only other hotel located within the park, the Yosemite Lodge, remember that you are paying for the location and the convenience.
